Join the Missouri Child Psychiatry Access Project (MO-CPAP) on May 12th, 2026, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm for a session training on Aggression Management with Jessica Popielarz, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC. This training is designed for both prescribing and non-prescribing pediatric health care and social service professionals. The session will cover strategies to support children and adolescents who are experiencing aggression.

Obesity is a complex, chronic, and relapsing condition affecting over 14.7 million US children. Without intervention, it is estimated that 60% of today’s two-year-olds will live with obesity by age 35. Despite these risks, very few children receive guideline-recommended care, and only 13% receive necessary lab screenings for metabolic conditions. As a MO HealthNet provider, you play a critical role in changing these outcomes.

Group Prenatal Care Billing Webinar

The MO HealthNet Division (MHD) and the St. Louis Integrated Health Network held a jointly sponsored event to launch Group Prenatal Care on January 12, 2024. As a follow up to this exciting launch, MHD will be hosting a webinar on February 1, 2024. The webinar will include a video of the launch event and its dynamic speakers, as well as an interactive discussion regarding how to bill for Group Prenatal Care and other questions providers may have on this benefit.

Fluoride Varnish During Well Child Check

Fluoride varnish is a covered service for participants age five and under, when the need is identified through an Early Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) visit. Fluoride varnish may be applied by physicians and nurse practitioners along with other medical professionals (RN, LPN, Physician Assistant) working in a physician’s office or clinic.Fluoride treatment is limited to 1 application of stannous fluoride, acid-phosphate fluoride or fluoride varnish per participant, 2 times per rolling year, per provider.

Dental Examination:

  • D0120 – Periodic Oral Evaluation
    • Not included in the Adult Dental Limited Package
    • Would require a letter of medical necessity from the patient’s primary care provider The medical necessity must meet MO HealthNet policy in Section 13 of the Dental Manual.
  • D0140 – Limited Oral Evaluation Problem Focused
    •  Code could be used with appropriate documentation of the problem.
