What is Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment (BCCT)?
MO HealthNet coverage is available for uninsured women under the age of 65 who have been screened and determined to need treatment for breast or cervical cancer by a provider. This includes treatment of certain pre-cancerous conditions and early-stage cancer.
The BCCT program is intended for women ineligible for all other MO HealthNet programs.
Who is Eligible?
To qualify for MO HealthNet based on the need for BCCT, women must be screened for breast or cervical cancer by a provider and must meet the following criteria:
- Have a need for BCCT, including certain pre-cancerous conditions
- Be under the age of 65
- Have a Social Security Number
- Be a Missouri resident
- Have citizenship or eligible non-citizen status
- Be uninsured (or have health coverage that does not cover breast or cervical cancer treatment)
How Do I apply?
To apply for BCCT coverage, complete the Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment MO HealthNet Application and have your provider complete the Certification of Need for Treatment - Breast/Cervical Cancer.
Email your completed forms to MRT.ProcessingCenter@dss.mo.gov and include “Application” in the subject line.

Breast and Cervical Cancer Presumptive Eligibility (BCCT-PE)
In Missouri, the Breast and Cervical Cancer Presumptive Eligibility program (BCCT-PE) is administered by the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) through the Show Me Healthy Women program. The program offers free breast and cervical cancer screenings for Missouri women who meet age, income, and insurance eligibility guidelines.
Completed BCCT-PE (BCC-1) applications should be submitted to FSD.IM.COLE.PE@DSS.MO.GOV to get the coverage entered.
