Proof of Delivery Documentation Requirements for Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
Proof of delivery is required to verify that equipment or supplies were received by the participant. DME providers must maintain proof-of-delivery documentation in accordance with the guidelines in Section 2.11 of the DME Manual.
Failure to maintain proper documentation may result in claim denial or post-payment recoupment.
