Effective April 1, 2025, MO HealthNet will no longer cover LifeScan products as the preferred diabetic testing supply. Participants currently using LifeScan products must transition to one of the new Preferred Diabetic Supplies. Please note that the new preferred products will not be payable before April 1, 2025, and LifeScan products will not be payable after this date.
Providers should begin assisting participants with this transition as soon as possible to ensure uninterrupted access to supplies. Prescribers may need to update prescriptions to reflect the new preferred products, and pharmacies should take proactive steps to educate participants on their options. MO HealthNet will deny all claims for LifeScan products on or after April 1, 2025, and no overrides will be available. Providers should ensure that participants have the necessary prescriptions and supplies to prevent any disruption in care.
