Notification of Pregnancy and Risk Screening Webinars
Effective November 1, 2024, MO HealthNet enrolled providers (including Fee-For-Service (FFS) and Managed Care (MC) Health Plan providers) who provide obstetric care/services, primary care, and emergency care to MO HealthNet participants can begin utilizing the new NOP and Risk Screening Portal to notify the MO HealthNet Division (MHD) and the MC Health Plans of a participant’s pregnancy. The new Portal will notify MHD and the appropriate MC Health Plan of a participant’s pregnancy without requiring a provider to complete multiple forms or online portals. There is also a new universal NOP and Risk Screening Form that can be used as a tool to collect the information needed for the portal.
Providers can bill and be reimbursed $50 for entering the NOP and Risk Screening information in the Portal. Billing guidance is provided in the MHD Notification of Pregnancy and Risk Screening Bulletin, webinars, and resources on the Maternal and Infant Health program page.
To assist providers with this transition, we have scheduled live webinars and Q&A sessions. Live webinars will go over the new process in detail and Q&A sessions will allow providers who have any questions about the process to get answers.
