MO HealthNet Provider Enrollment Electronic Signatures

December 9, 2024

The Missouri Medicaid Audit and Compliance (MMAC) Provider Enrollment Unit is responsible for enrolling new providers in MO HealthNet (Missouri Medicaid) and maintaining provider records for all MO HealthNet provider types. All forms submitted to MMAC must have an original handwritten signature or a verifiable electronic signature using an electronic signature software with a minimum of two identification components such as; DocuSign, Adobe Sign, DropBox Sign. Some of these software options offer free limited accounts. A signature stamp does not constitute an electronic signature.

All MO HealthNet providers using electronic signatures must retain all unaltered original documents for a minimum of six (6) years. The electronic document and signature should be kept secure to preserve its integrity by preventing unauthorized changes.

For more information on requirements for electronic signatures, refer to 13 CSR 65-3.050.
