How Providers Can Escalate Unresolved Managed Care Inquiries 
 

Have you already contacted a Managed Care (MC) health plan directly, but still need help resolving an issue? The MO HealthNet Division (MHD) is here to assist.  If you have already contacted the MC health plan directly regarding an issue and it remains unresolved, please follow the steps below.

Providers can complete an MC Request for Information and send it to MHD.MCCommunications@dss.mo.gov.

An MHD MC Liaison will review your Request and coordinate directly with the appropriate MC health plan to help resolve the issue. If your request requires additional details, the MHD MC Liaison will contact you using the email or phone number listed on the Request for Information.

A response from either MHD or the MC health plan will be sent directly to the provider within the following windows:

  • Inquiries affecting a managed care member's services: Within 72 hours
  • Standard inquiries: Within 10 working days, unless otherwise advised
