Missouri Family And Children System (MOFACS)
The Missouri Comprehensive Child Welfare Information Systems (CCWIS) project team is working to improve outcomes for Missouri children and families by providing the Children’s Division with a modern, user-friendly case management system. Our goal is to promote efficiency and effectiveness in the work of the Children’s Division by simplifying data from all angles, ensuring the processes within the CCWIS accurately reflect the practice of child welfare in Missouri, and encouraging collaboration inside and outside the agency.
- Project Scope
The case management system will support a comprehensive case management from initial inquiry for services to case closure including Prevention, Intake, Resources, Financial and Eligibility.
- Prepare documentation for Procurement
- Identify how the system will recover and function after a disaster.
- Secure log ins and profiles that help protect users’ online accounts and information
- Exchanging data with other social service systems inside and outside of our agency
- Database conversions – move all the information we need to our new system
- Management of records – keeping all necessary and required information while making sure it’s only seen by those with a legitimate business need
- Meeting the Administration for Children and Families technical requirements for federal funding on a Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System.
- Can access the app on any approved mobile device, whether you are on the go or at home.
- Online and offline batches – process large amounts of data at once without slowing down the system for users
- Storage is a possibility, but we need to investigate the technical details first.
